"Cal and UCLA are my top two right now but I'm still waiting for an offer," Matthews said. "Cal probably has a slight edge and I just like the program a lot and have enjoyed going to their games this year. UCLA is cool too, it's close to home and both schools are strong academically and in football.
"The other schools a lot are Arizona, Fresno State and Washington, that's my top five right now but I haven't set any visits yet. I talk to those coaches a lot and I really enjoy talking with Pat Hill at Fresno State. He's a good guy with a lot of energy. I just took the SAT this past weekend but I got an 1120 the first time I took it. I'll take my trips after the season is over, right now, my main focus is helping our team win and we've been playing well so far this year."
