"I still have 10 offers," Mattes said. "I've taken one visit. I went to Northwestern in October.
"I'm looking at Pitt, Northwestern, Indiana, Syracuse, Connecticut, Big Ten and Big East schools. I'm looking at schools that have offered me.
"I don't have any favorites. I'm still trying to work things out. I'm in the process of picking out the rest of my visits. I'll decide on those in the near future."
Mattes, a 6-foot-6, 265 pounder, played tight end and defensive tackle this season. He caught 11 passes and scored once.
Mattes will likely be an offensive lineman in college. He is the No. 51 offensive tackle prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 24 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania.
