Mattes compares Pitt and NW

"I still have about 10 offers," Plymouth (Pa.) Wyoming Valley West offensive line prospect Kurt Mattes said. "That's about the same."
"I haven't scheduled any official visits yet. I'm just trying to take care of the football season first."

"Pitt, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Connecticut, Syracuse, Indiana, Virginia, those are some of my offers. And I still hear from Minnesota, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Maryland."
When asked if there were any schools he was pretty sure he would schedule official visits to, Mattes said, "Probably Pitt and Northwestern."
"Pitt has a good football program. It's close to home. The education is good. It seems like there are good people working there."
"Northwestern's education is great. They play in the Big Ten, which is a great conference. And the people are nice there."
"I've been to both schools."
The 6-foot-6 and 265 pound Mattes is playing tight end and defensive tackle this season, but is projected as an offensive lineman in college. He has caught three passes and registered a sack as Wyoming Valley West is off to a 4-0 start. Mattes is the No. 24 overall prospect in the state of Pennsylvania in the Rivals.com player rankings.
