WR KD Cannon, Mount Pleasant (Texas):

Why Collins has an edge: The 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback has been a starter for one of the top teams in the nation for two years, unheard of at the highest classification in Texas. Collins earned the early playing time, though, as a tremendous cover corner. He can play press and be physical, or back off and give a cushion and use his speed to break on the ball. He holds almost double-digit early offers and will leave observers who are unfamiliar with his game raving.

Why Cannon has an edge: The 6-foot-1, 160-pound wide receiver is incredibly fast and is tough to keep up with for almost any defensive back. He is most dangerous in his route-running, though. Cannon can cut on a dime and leave the defender grasping at air. He also has very soft hands. At every event he's participated in this summer, he has been one of the top players and the Challenge should not be any different.

Overall edge: Both prospects will be trying to prove they belong at the top of their respective position groups. Collins is an excellent cover corner, while Cannon provides mismatches with his speed and height. It seems like a tie on paper and, when that's the case, the battle usually goes to the offensive player in 1-on-1s. Give Cannon the slight edge.
