Massive Georgia lineman has eyes for Irish

Dallas (Ga.) East Paulding offensive tackle Paul Duncan has as much potential as any offensive lineman in the country and has all the tools to be a special player on the next level. That is why he already has several impressive scholarship offers.
“I have offers from Duke, LSU, Alabama, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Florida and some others,” Duncan said. “Those are the ones that I’m interested in, though. One offer I don’t have is Georgia. They just don’t seem like they want me. Not much is happening there.”

The 6-foot-6, 282-pound Duncan had an impressive showing at the NIKE camp in Atlanta. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.43 seconds, ran a 5.28 shuttle time, did 23 reps on the bench press and had a 23-inch vertical jump.
“So far I have been to camps at Middle Georgia, NIKE, Notre Dame and Duke,” Duncan said. “I am going to visit LSU next week. My sister has a basketball tournament down there and I am going to visit while I am down there. I’m going to tour the facilities and meet the coaches.”
Duncan currently has two schools on top and is looking to make an early decision.
“Right now, Notre Dame and Duke are right there up at the top,” he said. “I think Notre Dame is probably No. 1, though. They standout the most. I went to camp there and it was great. I got to visit everything and meet the coaches. Coach (Tyrone) Willingham reminds me a lot of my high school coach.”
Duncan was originally scheduled to attend camp at Georgia this weekend but did not make the trip.
“I’d like to make an early decision,” Duncan said. “It doesn’t really matter, but I’d like to go early. I just want to be able to focus on my senior season. I may not commit early, but right now I’m leaning towards it.”
