Massive DT claims one offer
Defensive tackle Eric Young has pulled his first offer. The massive 6-foot-3, 339-pound lineman out of Durham (N.C.) Hillside claims the lone offer from the ACC, but is getting plenty of other interest.
"He got his first official offer from NC State," Hillside head coach Antonio King said. "They came by the school recently and dropped off the offer.

"I talked about it with Eric and he is very excited about it and the possibility of playing for NC State. Right now, he's still taking in all the information and wants to visit five or ten colleges for one day camps this summer and then sit down after the summer and go from there."
NC State may have pulled the trigger, but other schools are interested.
"Plenty of colleges are calling for him or visiting school, Maryland, Penn State, North Carolina and Duke," he said. "I went to a coaching clinic in Florida and they are interested too."
Does Young like anybody?
"It's really early for Eric and he wants to see who will offer him and do research. He is a man of his word and wants to make a good decision when he commits."
King went on about Young as a player.
"As a player, I have had the privilege of coaching him since seventh grade," he said. "He is an outstanding talent and understands how to be a dominant player. He has a great motor getting to the ball and can shed tackles. He is a dominant force on the field.
"He always wants to be noted as one of the best players and understands technique and goes real hard."
What about Young as a person?
"That's the part I like the most," he said. "I've been lucky enough to be his godfather and see him grow and mature. He is a leader on and off the field. He's a good student too."
Young may have an offer, but the school has other recruits as well.
"We have three sleepers, a ball hawking safety, 6-foot-1, 175-pound Dontae Anderson and two good wide receivers, Mike Brown, 6-foot-2, 170-pounds and Brandon Watkins, 6-foot-1, 175-pounds.
"Watkins is a real good student and is a basketball and baseball player too. Brown is a heck of a receiver and makes the hardest catches look easy. Dontae will surprise a lot of people with his ball prowess. He's a great openfield tackler and has a nose for the ball."
