Tre Mason is one of the top running back prospects from south Florida. Mason, 5-10 and 185 pounds, is from Boynton Beach Park Vista High School. Last season as a junior he rushed for 1,460 yards and 24 touchdowns.
"I am a back with great speed, vision and agility," Mason said. "I know I need to work on some things like pass blocking, picking up the blitz. I have worked hard this off-season, running track and lifting and just getting ready for football. Man, I am ready."
According to Mason he has scholarship offers from Duke, Maryland, FIU, Marshall, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.

"The first team to offer was FIU and the latest was Rutgers. Teams like Florida, Miami, Georgia, Florida State, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Oregon, UCF, Michigan, and Michigan State are recruiting me hard. With a big senior year this thing can blow up."
So far Mason has seen Miami and says he's scheduled to visit Florida at some point during spring break.
"I would also really like to go up to Ohio State. I want to see teams like Georgia and FSU and places like that. Right now I am pretty open. I want to pick a place where I feel comfortable and get some playing time."
