Mason lands opening offer

Taeon Mason recently landed his first offer but everything is still very preliminary in his recruitment.
The 2015 cornerback from Pasadena (Calif.) Muir has been talking with Oregon State and the Beavers recently reached out with his first offer. He's excited but still doesn't know much about most programs so things are just taking off for him.

"They sent me a couple letters and we were talking for a little bit and they offered me," Mason said. "I will look into every team but I don't have any special feelings yet for any team."
The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect said Oregon State offered him after watching his junior highlight film. That tape could definitely help Mason with others since many other Pac-12 programs have reached out in the last few weeks.
USC has sent a bunch of mail, Oregon is sending some letters and Washington State is also talking with the 2015 prospect from Pasadena Muir.
He said the Trojans like him as an athlete while he's not sure of the others since he's just receiving preliminary mail from those schools.
"USC said they're recruiting me as an athlete," Mason said. "I don't know about the other schools because they're just sending letters."
Mason admits an offer from the Trojans would be pretty big but he doesn't want to rush any early decisions since his junior season is still going on.
"It would be huge for me but I wouldn't commit right away," Mason said. "I want to look at all my options. It would be a huge offer though."
