Masina plans Midwest tour

Osa Masina is taking three important visits in the coming days and it could pave the way for what the 2015 prospect is thinking about with his recruitment.
The Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton athlete will be at Notre Dame on Friday, Michigan on Saturday and Sunday and then Wisconsin on Monday before heading home.

"I've never been anywhere near any of those places so that will definitely be a new experience to see if it's where I want to live," Masina said.
"Notre Dame is going to be pretty cool from what I've heard. My brother (Uaea) went down there last year so with Notre Dame I have a little to go off of.
"Going up to Michigan and Wisconsin I don't know what to expect. I'm excited to go meet all the coaches from all three schools, talk to them, and check out the campus and see if it's a place where I want to go."
The 6-foot-4, 207-pound recruit has been offered by BYU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin so far. That means Notre Dame hasn't offered yet but Masina has gotten the hint that one could be coming.
"They've discussed an offer," Masina said. "They've talked about it. They really want me to come down first, however that goes, and maybe they'll extend an offer. That would be awesome."
Utah had been considered the slight frontrunner since his brother signed with the Utes last recruiting cycle but Masina said he wants to keep things open.
With these visits coming up, a possible offer from Notre Dame and new interest from USC, Masina doesn't want to rush anything this soon.
"I don't really have a favorite quite yet," Masina said. "Maybe after these next couple visits I could start naming a top three or something like that but I think right now I'm just open to everywhere.
"We'll see how that goes with SC. I'm trying to get in contact with someone down there. They keep sending me camp mail after camp mail so we'll see about USC."
