Maryland WR has two favorites

Wide receiver Brandon McDonald out of Baltimore (Md.) Milford Mill Academy appears to have two early favorites, but is also hearing from some big name schools.
"I'm interested in Maryland because it was the first school I went to," he said. "I also know someone that goes to Marshall. I'd say I favor those right now."

McDonald also recently took in a junior day visit to Maryland.
"It was fun, they really were interested in me," he said. "The basketball game was good, even though they lost, but it was still an interesting experience. What surprised me was how concerned they were about getting us there and they showed a lot of interest in me."
McDonald has another junior day coming up with his other favorite Marshall on April 16th.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pounder has also been hearing from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Miami, Illinois, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Penn State.
McDonald noted he just received his first letter from Miami and is interested in hearing more from them.
"They sent me one letter," he said. "And I'd like to hear more, because a lot of people say that's the best school to go to for football and academics."
Meanwhile this spring, McDonald is preparing for combines and the upcoming season.
"I'm working out three or four times a week," he said. "I practice running routes Saturdays and Sundays and I'm also working on my forty time a lot."
Besides working out, McDonald ran indoor track and even helped his team to the state championships.
The wide receiver prospect is also getting excited for next season.
"I think we're going to be better and get further this year," he said. "I'm hoping I'll improve a lot more next year and get better, much better."
This spring McDonald plans on attending the Nike Camp at Penn State as well as the Rivals.com Junior Day at Rutgers.
Last season, McDonald had 20 catches for 500 yards and three touchdowns as he was named all-county, all-metro and all-state. McDonald helped Milford Mill Academy to a 7-4 record last year.
