Maryland visit goes well for Foster

Boiling Springs (S.C.) wide receiver Brooks Foster visited Maryland over the weekend and had a very enjoyable experience. It was his second trip of the fall, and although he is not ready to make a decision, the Terps helped keep their chances alive with the good showing.
“It was all pretty good,” he commented. “I liked everything about it. I met the basketball coaches, and they took me around. That was nice.” Brooks would like to play both sports at the next level, so this added twist to the visit was a pleasant surprise.

Foster rated the visit a nine and was hosted by sophomore running back Sam Maldonado. He had already visited Kentucky and compared the two schools favorably.
“I had a good time at both,” he said. “Both schools are great, and the visits were about the same.”
He will travel to North Carolina on Jan. 9, Clemson on Jan. 16, and “probably Duke or Wake Forest” for his last visit. He has had in-home visits with Maryland (Al Seamonson), Duke (Louis Clyburn), North Carolina (Andre’ Powell), and Kentucky (Joker Phillips).
At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Brooks runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and boasts a 34-inch vertical leap. Rated the No. 65 wide receiver in the country by Rivals.com, he had 45 receptions for 800 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior and also returned two kickoffs for scores.
An excellent student, he has a 3.76 GPA and has already scored a 980 on the SAT.
