Maryland TE close to setting first official

Three-star tight end Paul Phillips continues to hold two scholarships. The Bethesda (Md.) Georgetown Prep prospect is discussing a potential trip sometime soon. Where is he headed?
"I'm probably going to set up an official to Indiana soon," he said. "I don't have a date on that yet. After that I'll probably wait to see who else offers me after I send out some senior tape."

Indiana is one of two scholarships for Phillips along with Richmond.
"So far, they are the only BCS school that has offered and I visited there before and really liked it."
Meanwhile, a couple other schools including Oregon and NC State are the latest to start watching the tight end.
On the football front, Phillips opens up his senior season on Friday against (Fairfax) Paul VI.
"We finally have our first game on Friday. We have a pretty solid senior class, so I think we should be pretty good. I have no real goals, I just want to help lead my team to win a conference championship."
