Maryland QB up to two offers

Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico quarterback Wayne Warren holds two offers from the Big East and Pac-10. Who pulled the trigger on offering the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder and does he have any favorites?
"I've picked up a couple offers from Stanford recently and Syracuse on Thursday," he said. "I love the fact that Stanford is out in California and they have one of the best campuses in the country.

"I was up in Syracuse earlier this week and I love their environment. When I was there I toured the campus, checked out the facilities, met the coaches and sat in on a couple meetings. The practice was great, it was live and energetic and there were no real dead parts. It's a cool place and I've got teammates that have committed there in Josh White and Jamere Knox. I wouldn't say it's a big factor, but it's nice. I know Josh wants me to go there."
On his visit to New York, Warren met with a few of the coaches.
"I talked to coach Earley and Robinson," he said. "They were real cool and I was impressed. I wouldn't expect the head coach to come up and talk to you, but we connected and had a bond even though it was the first time meeting."
Next month, Warren has a handful of visits coming up.
"I'm planning to go to the Nike Camp on May 12th and the Elite College Combine on May 1st," he said. "There's also a plan to probably go out to Stanford on May 20th and then in the summer I'll likely camp at Maryland and Syracuse."
Do any of the colleges lead for the Maryland quarterback?
"It's a pretty open race right now," he said. "The schools that have offered have an advantage, but that's really it right now.
"Basically, I'm looking for a great college program and a solid education where I will succeed in life so that I have something to fall back on. I also want coaches that I can learn from and better myself on the field."
Warren accounted for 1,450 yards of offense and 26 touchdowns to just three interceptions as a junior.
