Maryland lineman to be a Husky

Defensive tackle/center prospect Rashad Wright from Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt is unsure what position he will play at the next level, but just wants the opportunity to show his skills. Wright is 6-foot-1, 240 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds, and says five schools are still in contention for his services.
Wright lists UConn, Hampton, Delaware, Morgan State, and Norfolk State as his top schools, and although he said they all have one thing in common, one school really stands out to him. What is it about these schools that has attracted his attention?

“They all have good academics, and that is the most important thing,” he said. “But UConn is a program that is compatible to my ability.” Although he continues to receive interest from his top schools, he is still waiting on offers.
Rashad camped at UConn, the Delaware big man academy, and the Ray Guy long snapping camp this summer, but has not been able to visit any of his other favorites yet. He has received letters inviting him to attend some games, but has not set up any trips so far.
Wright has yet to take the SAT, and that is one of the things holding college recruiters back. He currently maintains a 3.0 GPA, however, and is scheduled to take the test next month. He wants to major in sports medicine.
Rashad has helped lead Eleanor Roosevelt to a 2-0 mark on the young season, and although unsure of his stats, he is in the top five on the team in tackles.
