Maryland LB re-works Oklahoma visit

Germantown (Md.) Seneca Valley linebacker Jourdon Brooks was planning to join teammate Donald Langley to Oklahoma this past weekend. The 6-foot-1, 247-pounder however couldn't make the trip out to Norman.
"I was supposed to go with Donald, but I had to cancel the trip because of the SATs," he said. "Right now I'm looking at rescheduling the trip to go out there sometime in November.

"I am also trying to set up ones to Tennessee and Rutgers in November. I chose those schools because they are calling and talking to me and my parents. I like that both of those schools are successful on the field this year and they have comfortable and confident coaches."
At the moment, Brooks is still unsure about his fifth official visit.
What does the three-star prospect hope to see on his visits?
"Basically I just want to check out the campus and meet all the coaches and players," he stated. "I want to get a feel on how the team interacts and check out the academic part of the school too."
Brooks has been a force for Seneca Valley on both sides of the field as a senior.
"The season is going pretty well as we're 4-2 right now," he said. "We're hoping to win out the rest of the season. I think our team is doing pretty well, but we're not playing up to our full potential.
"As for me, I have 600 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. I also have 60 tackles and five sacks in six games. I just want to improve on running the ball and getting more sacks."
