Junior To Watch: Eric Lenz
School: Ijamsville (Md.) Urbana

Position: Outside linebacker and punter
Size and speed: Lenz is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.59 seconds.
Honors: As a junior Lenz was named all-state, all-area and all-conference. He was also a member of Maryland's Super 22 team.
Statistics: On defense last year Lenz recorded eight sacks and four interceptions, while catching 28 passes for 352 yards and seven touchdowns as a receiver.
Favorite schools: Maryland, Penn State, UVA, Boston College, Tennessee, UConn, Vanderbilt and Marshall
Skinny: Lenz can play a number of positions and because of his athleticism and versatility he has already received an offer.
"Boston College has offered me a scholarship," said Lenz. "I've thought about them, but I'm sure I'll get more offers, so I'm going to wait for them. I wouldn't say I have any leaders, but there are several schools in this area that I'm looking at.
"Academics will be important, and so will the school location. Most of the schools I listed as my favorites aren't really in urban areas and that's a good thing."
Lenz starred as a defensive end and wide receiver last year for Ijamsville (Md.) Urbana, but his role may change in college.
"I played end and receiver last year," said Lenz. "I also punt, and I'm going to the 4th Down Kicking Camp this summer. Most schools want me as an outside linebacker, so I'll have to learn that position and see the field there some as well.
"I'm really an aggressive player. One of my biggest attributes is that I'm quick off the ball. I explode when the ball is snapped, regardless of where I'm playing on the field. I have good height and jumping ability, and I'm pretty athletic."
