Maryland LB claims a leader

Linebacker Khari Brown out of Forestville (Md.) Bishop McNamara claims a handful of offers. The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder maintains one school stands out from the pack as he is remaining patient with his recruitment.
"I'm kind of relaxing right now," he said. "My coaches are making my film and we're going to send it out to some schools.

"I still have three offers from Buffalo, Liberty and Marshall. I don't think many other schools have come in or come to games so far. But, I'm not really worried about that, I just am focused on coaching our young guys up and focusing on helping my team out."
On the recruiting front, does the two-star prospect like anybody?
"I've got to keep the ones showing me the interest close," he said. "Out of those that have offered me I think I like Buffalo the most. I visited up there, I like the whole family type of environment and they have a pretty good team. I would be interested in going out there as a freshman and making a name for myself.
"For me, the ones that show me love, I show them love."
On the field, Brown broke down the year.
"It's been kind of a rough season, it's a rebuilding year with a lot of young guys, but the playoffs are still out there," he said. "I'm playing well at outside linebacker. I've been getting 10 or 11 tackles a game. I'm getting to the ball a lot quicker on the edge and I'm picking up sacks. I've become a leader on the team."
