Maryland corner enjoys trip to Pitt

Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park cornerback Brandon Banks made a trip to Pitt on Saturday and the experience has him speaking very highly of the Panthers.
Banks discussed his trip to Pitt just as he was finishing up at the Big East school.

He had participated in a 7-on-7 tournament in Pittsburgh just a couple of months ago and he was impressed with what he saw. Because of that brief experience he wanted to return to Pitt to get a closer look.
"I've just been here on an unofficial," Banks said on Saturday. "They've got a little camp going on so I came up to visit and talk to the coaches.
"At the 7-on-7 I didn't get to see all the facilities. I got to see a lot of them but I wanted to see more. I came up here to see the weight room and get a better feel for the coaches.
"It's real nice. I'm looking at the campus and I don't really see how you can get in trouble here. The city's over there but it's a nice, quiet campus. It's real nice."
Banks, a 5-foot-11, 150-pound corner, said he plans on visiting a couple of other schools very shortly.
"I'm going to Miami next weekend and the following weekend I'm going to South Carolina.
"They want to see me on the field and coach me up a little bit. They want to see if I'm coachable. They've said I look good on film but they told me they need to see me in person because I could be 5'5," he laughed.
Banks said he doesn't have any favorites at this point.
He currently holds offers from Buffalo, Cincinnati, UConn, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Temple and Vanderbilt, among others.
