Maryland, BC lead for DT

With interest from Boston College, Wisconsin, Duke, Maryland and Stanford, defensive tackle David Valley is certainly becoming one of the most heavily recruited players in New England.
The 6-foot-3, 305-pounder out of East Providence, R.I. helped the team to a 5-7 record as he posted 11 sacks on the year. He was also named all-league defensive tackle.

"It was not as good a year because we didn't have that much leadership," he said. "I thought I could have played better and could have helped the team out more. I also could have been more of a leader on the field which could have lead to better team chemistry."
What does Valley want out of a school?
"I want a good education," he said. "Because if I don't go to the NFL, I want to know that I got a good education and have a great job."
Currently the schools leading for Valley's services include Boston College and Maryland.
"I like Boston College because I went to camp there. I think it's a great school and has a great campus, the people are very nice," he said. "While I like Maryland because I know a lot of people that live down there and it's a very good school."
This summer Valley is looking at attending the Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers in May. He is also planning to camp at Boston College and maybe either Connecticut or Maryland.
