Martin looking at Pac-12 visit

D.J. Martin is looking to schedule some official visits and the Bakersfield (Calif.) Stockdale running back could take one to Oregon State soon.
The three-star running back said he's talked with that coaching staff and a trip could be booked in the coming days. Martin is definitely excited about taking that trip since it's a Pac-12 program.

"Oregon State is going to call me in the next couple days to set up a recruiting trip out there," Martin said. "That is going to be the first big one.
"I'm looking forward to it a lot. I'm kind of excited to get out of California to see something new."
Fresno State, San Diego State and San Jose State are the three other main schools recruiting Martin, rated as the No. 50 running back in the 2013 class by Rivals.com.
No other visits have been scheduled yet but Martin said he's looking to take as many trips as possible to see exactly which program best fits him.
"I'm just going to wait for the right time," Martin said. "Whenever the schools want me to go on the trips, I'm just going to wait to see what they want to do."
In his senior season, Martin rushed for 1,824 yards with 23 touchdowns on 206 carries.
He looked good this past summer at the B2G Elite Camp and had been committed to Cal early on in his recruitment but opened it back up and has some other options available in the coming months.
