Martin has summer plans

New Orleans (La.) McDonogh 35 defensive end Sci Martin has several scholarship options, and plenty of college coaches after his football talents. He has taken in the attention, and he is currently enjoying the spring and all it brings.
"The spring has been going great," Martin said. "We're trying to get better every day. I'm also developing with my teammates at a higher level, and there's competition to be the best man. When you have other good players who are just as good as you the competition is very hard. We're just trying to improve."

During the summer months he plans to camp at Mississippi State, LSU, Ole Miss, Troy, and maybe Colorado State, and at this time he is not naming any leaders in his recruiting process.
"No, not right now," Martin said. "I'm just trying to take my time as it goes."
He has developed strong bonds with coaches at several college programs, but he does have a few schools he has kept in touch with more than others.
"Texas Tech, Colorado, Colorado State, a little bit of SMU, and TCU," Martin said.
He also has an idea about when he would like to narrow his list to a few.
"Probably before the season, in early August most likely," Martin said.
Martin is currently ranked the nation's No. 29 weakside defensive end in the 2016 recruiting class, and he is ranked No. 27 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Postseason Top 45 of 2016.
