Martin has a leader

Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial 2016 standout running back Kameron Martin has already picked up over 20 scholarship offers, with the likes of Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Baylor, Miami, Ole Miss, and Notre Dame all on the table.
As he enters the spring of 2014 and prepares for his junior season a leader has already emerged in the shape of the 2014 BCS Champion Florida State Seminoles.

"I'd say because their program always has a great tradition and it would be a great fit for me and my family," Martin said. "I just want to go somewhere far. Like right now I just want to get away from Texas right now. I've been here all my life and I just want to view the world and I feel like Florida State will be a good fit for me. I just can't wait to visit this summer."
A big reason for the Seminole's lead is his lead recruiter, coach Tim Brewster. The two have begun to build a strong bond, and Martin likes the idea of starting a new trend between the state of Texas and Florida State.
"When I got that offer it was just a great feeling," Martin said. "It really means something because I was talking to coach the other day and he was saying we're about to build this tradition and we're about to get big time players from Texas and like I'm one of the big time players in my class."
Baylor, Florida, and Texas A&M join Florida State in his top four, but the Seminoles have separated themselves from the pack at this point in the process.
Martin plans to camp at LSU this summer and attend the Rivals100 Underclassmen Challenge, as well as visit Florida State. He will also likely attend a few mini-camps closer to his home.
Camps and visits are not the only plans on his summer schedule; he also wants to make a decision.
"I felt like I wanted to get the recruitment over with and focus on school," Martin said. "I felt like some other recruits that went to my school a few years ago, it got kind of stressful to them and I don't want that to happen to me."
Right now Florida State is his leader and he does have a top four, but he has not made any cuts to his list and he is still looking at each of his options.
