Marshall, UConn standing out to GA RB

Class of 2016 Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett running back Kameron Pickett's offer list recently hit 15 schools, but he recently said three programs continue to pursue him the hardest.
"Marshall, Connecticut and Miami (Ohio) are really high on my list right now," Pickett said. "They have all been showing me a lot of attention and making me feel like a priority."

The Huskies are Pickett's most notable offer to date, and he said the AAC school really caught his attention when they joined his list.
"That was a huge one for me," Pickett said. "Since they offered me me and Coach Vincent Brown have been talking at least once a week. He told me to get up there this summer and visit the campus and see how I like it. They're only planning to take one running back and the spot might fill up fast so I want to make it a priority."
The staff at Marshall has also been working on developing a relationship with Pickett and it appears to be paying dividends as well.
"The running backs coach personally offered me and we've had a bond ever since then," Pickett said. "I feel like I can talk to him about anything that's going on, football or not, and he's just real positive. They're taking two running backs and he said he thinks I can have a chance to come in and play since I have a different skill set than the guys they have."
The Herd's wide-open offensive attack is also a selling point for Pickett.
"He said I would fit perfectly because it's just like my high school's offense," Pickett said. "We run a lot of screens, zone-reads, the blocking schemes are the same so it would be a nice transition."
Plenty of other programs, including Nebraska, Indiana, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Louisville are also showing interest in Pickett, but he said the need to jump on board soon, because a decision may be right around the corner.
"I'm thinking I want to decide by the end of June," Pickett said. "I want to get to these camps and see what happens first with other schools offering. But I might be ready soon."
