Marshall closing in on decision

One of the best cornerbacks in the West, Uriah Marshall (6-0, 175, 4.4) from Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep is nearing a decision and could come as early as Monday of next week.
Marshall had several offers to chose from. Michigan, Oregon State, Cal, UCLA, Arizona State and Washington were just a few of the schools that were in the hunt.

Marshall will attend either ASU or Washington.
“During the course of the season,” Marshall said. “I became comfortable with the organizations at ASU and Washington.”
“The hold-up on my decision is ASU doesn’t have a defensive back coach at this time,” Marshall said. “I’m actually waiting to find out he is going to be.”
“ASU told me that they should have someone in place this weekend,” Marshall said. “I would then sit with him and get to know him. After I do then I can mull this decision over.”
“My front runner is Washington,” Marshall said. “Location is not a problem.”
“I liked Seattle a lot,” Marshall said. “My host was Derrick Johnson and he did a great job showing me the city and introducing me to the players.”
“I really like the organization and the coaches at Washington a lot,” Marshall said.
Whoever lands Marshall will be getting a smart football player with the willingness and the work ethic to get even better.
Marshall was selected all-state and all-Arizona as a senior after racking up 57 tackles and picking off four passes.
