Marshall breaks down ND

Iman Marshall enjoyed many aspects of his first official visit to Notre Dame this past weekend but seeing the stadium and touring the campus probably stood out most to the five-star cornerback.
"It was great," Marshall said. "I would say by far that was the best thing I've seen. Due to the rich tradition, it was wonderful."

Spending time with the coaching staff and getting a complete breakdown of how they envision his role on the team was crucial to the weekend.
According to the Long Beach (Calif.) Poly standout, the Notre Dame coaches see using him all over the field and utilizing all of his abilities.
It was a convincing approach by Notre Dame's staff.
"I enjoyed myself a lot," Marshall said of the visit. "I learned a lot of new things and the coaches touched base on some things I did know so that was a big thing on my end.
"Like they said before, they said (cornerback) was a position of need and that I could come in and immediately contribute on that side of the ball as quickly as possible. I could be used all over the field to show all my intangibles and in different coverages not just for college football but the NFL."
Marshall, the top-rated cornerback and fourth-best prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, also enjoyed spending time with the coaches and players away from football talk. The five-star had an opportunity to socialize and he said overall the people at Notre Dame were great.
"They're really cool," Marshall said. "They were about their business for the most part and they were really cool all weekend."
No decision is expected until Marshall takes all his other visits in January and considers the local schools as well - USC, UCLA and Stanford.
Next up, the Long Beach Poly recruit will visit Florida State the weekend of Jan. 16. Trips to LSU and Oklahoma are also expected and Marshall is still undecided whether his fifth visit will be to Michigan or Alabama, which offered in the last few days.
