Marquel Thomas reschedules official

Safety Marquel Thomas out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside was scheduled to take his first official visit of the season this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 165-pounder didn't make the trip, but has already rescheduled.
"I'm supposed to take it now on the 30th of November to Northern Illinois," he said. "That's the only visit I have planned right now.

"That's my top school because I love the coaches, they have nice facilities and there's a comfort there. It's also away from home which allows me to focus and stay out of trouble."
Since Northern Illinois is leading, is there a chance Thomas commits on his visit?
"I think I'm going to wait to see if I can get any more scholarships," he said. "I've got ones from Marshall and Eastern Michigan. I'm also hearing a bit from Tennessee. They just have to evaluate me more and check out my grades."
The two-star prospect finished up his season on Friday as Bayside lost in the first round to Western Branch.
"We did alright, the offense just wasn't clicking," he said. "I'm glad we made it to the first round and it was a better season than last year.
"I didn't do too well in that game since they had two men on me the whole night. I did finish second in south Hampton Roads in receptions and had 929-yards receiving. I also got eight touchdowns and four interceptions."
