Marini enjoys FSU camp visit

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Lake Mary (Fla.) three-star tight end Taylor Marini participated in the Thursday morning session of the Jimbo Fisher Football Camp.
"It was great," Marini said. "(Tight ends) Coach (James) Coley is a great guy. I've never learned so much from one individual in one standing before. It was great to come out and compete and be at FSU."

The 6-foot-4, 227-pound tight end enjoyed the individual position work he received while at the camp.
"I just got a lot of direction towards routes and being able to make better sticks," Marini said. "A little technique work, like turning your head on routes and stuff that I feel I can take back to the team at Lake Mary and contribute with."
Marini, who claims offers from Florida International, Louisville, Memphis, Minnesota, Rutgers, South Florida, Temple, and UCF, is waiting to hear if the Seminoles will extend an offer.
"We actually didn't go that much in-depth," Marini said. "He just told me that he wanted me to get his number, that they were going to meet, and to contact him."
Prior to visiting Florida State, Marini camped at Mississippi State. He is supposed to hear from Dan Mullen and his staff on Friday with regards to a possible offer being extended. He is now heading to visits at South Carolina and Duke.
At this time, Marini does not claim a leader. He is hoping to have a decision before his season starts.
