Marcus Montgomery: Back From SDSU

Marcus Montgomery, a 6-3, 190 pound wide receiver from Oceanside (Calif.) took his first official visit of the year to San Diego State this weekend and from the sound of it, it could be his last.

“I liked it a lot, I’m thinking about committing there,” Montgomery said. “I’ve been to SDSU before since it’s so close to home but this was different. I got to spend more time with the players and coaches on the team. I saw more of the campus, before it was just the football fields. I got to really see what it would be like to actually be going to school there and I liked it a lot.

“The coaches were selling me on how much they like to throw the ball and being a receiver, that’s obviously a big deal to me. I have a trip set up in January for San Jose State but I’m not sure if I’m going to take it. I kind of want to take it so I have something to compare this to but at the same time, I’m pretty sold on SDSU. Over the next couple of days, I’m just going to do some soul searching here and decide if I should just go ahead and commit now or wait until later.”
