Marcus Everett Back From UCLA

A week ago, West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade wide out Marcus Everett said there was a chance he could commit to UCLA on his visit this past weekend if he really liked what he saw and was blown away by it. Did he pull the trigger?
“No, I had a good time but I didn’t commit yet,” Everett said. “I still want to take my trip to Oregon (Jan. 9) and then I’ll be ready to decide. It was fun there, Coach (John) Embree is a great receiver coach and we were able to sit down and talk about what my role would be in the offense. He said if I came in ready and competed hard, I could play as a true freshman, which is something I would like to do.

“I’ve been to the campus a lot before but this was better for me because I was able to meet with all the academic advisers as well as the football people. We went to the Rose Bowl and they announced our names over the loud speaker. We got to eat breakfast in the press box and they had jerseys with our names on them. We also went to the basketball game, which was fun because I love basketball. We stayed for just the 1st half but it was cool.”
Everett has also visited Washington State and said he doesn’t plan to visit anywhere else after his trip to Oregon. Both Oregon and Washington State have come in for home visits and UCLA will be in the home Tuesday night.
