Maponga has a new offer and two on top

Stansly Maponga out of Lewisville (Texas) Hebron is an offensive coordinator's nightmare: an athletic defensive end that won't quit. He has been giving opposing teams fits with his pass rush and his intensity level and several national programs have taken notice.
The most recent school to add to an offer list that includes UTEP, Boise State, Iowa State and others is Fresno State.

"I have got an offer from Fresno State," Maponga said. "I got that a couple weeks ago. I think Utah is coming in with one really soon. I talk to Fresno State about once a week. I just talked to their head coach yesterday. They're in my top schools for sure."
One school that would immediately be at the top of his list were the interest to pick up is Louisville.
"I'm just getting interest letters (from Louisville)," he said. "If they offered they would be my top school. I haven't talked to them in a while. We email each other every now and then. I really hope they offer me sometime soon."
Iowa State is another program that holds an interest for Maponga, particularly because it is part of the Big 12, a conference Maponga is very familiar with as a Texas native. In fact, he is hoping to get down for an Iowa State visit in the near future.
"I am supposed to be taking a visit in January to Fresno State," he said. "I am really interested in Iowa State. They are in the Big 12 and I like good competition. They have a great program right now. I would like to take a visit there sometime. I haven't talked to them about it yet. Me and my mom are talking about when we can possibly go up there and see them."
Maponga is targeting a decision date after the playoffs and after he is able to take his visits. Currently, two schools are in good shape.
"I think of my offers, my top two schools right now are probably Boise State and Iowa State," he said.
