Many taking notice of 2016 ATH

Junior athlete Jacob Morgenstern of New Canaan (Conn.) St. Luke's is planning to visit Penn State this week and Connecticut next week.
"Coming off of their NCAA Sanctions, I want to talk to Penn State's recruiters and see where they can go from here," said the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Morgenstern. "They have bowl eligibility again, so that's great. I figure that it's a great atmosphere there and playing in front of 102,000 people would be crazy to experience. It's also a great school and I have some friends that are going there. Hopefully, I can ask them how they like it there."

Morgenstern's most recent visit was to the Princeton vs. Yale game on November 15.
It was great," Morgenstern said. "It was a shootout between Yale and Princeton. It was two good teams going at it. The coaches were very interactive with me and they made sure that I felt at home at Yale. They were very proactive with me and I like that a lot."
Morgenstern has three favorite schools right now and they are Yale, Boston College and Princeton.
"I went to the USC vs. Boston College game when Boston College pulled off an upset victory," he said. "They were ranked number nine at that time. I didn't get to go to the campus because I had baseball at the time, but it all started with one of the coaches following me on Twitter. He messaged me and he told me to give him a call. Just by following him, I gained their interest. They saw a few of my games and I was able to talk to the coaches. I was able to go down and see that game. It was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen. I met the coaches and they are all great guys. I loved it.
"Princeton's a great school and I was able to see them play against Yale, so I was able to compare them," he said. "It was a great game. The coach came and saw me around March last year. We have kept in contact and he keeps messaging me just to see how I am doing. I am really feeling the love and I have received several letters from them. I am hoping to visit them this offseason."
Morgenstern's most recent scholarship offer was from Boston College. He is also very interested in Penn State and Connecticut but there are plenty of schools that he is also going to consider.
"Harvard, Maryland, Dartmouth, Syracuse, Rutgers, Penn, Fordham, Lafayette and Lehigh," Morgenstern said. "A bunch of Ivy League and Patriot League schools have shown interest in me. Temple, Villanova and Vanderbilt have been asking me to attend a game."
There are six schools that Morgenstern feels like are recruiting him the hardest right now and there are five schools that he has been talking to the most lately.
"I feel like Yale, Princeton, Boston College, Rutgers, Penn State and UConn are recruiting me the hardest right now," he said. "I have been talking to Yale, Boston College, Princeton, Penn State and UConn the most lately."
On offense, Morgenstern had 23 catches for 682 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had 32 carries for 382 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he had 65 tackles, five interceptions, three forced fumbles, two punt return touchdowns and one defensive touchdown.
