Many programs interested in Adams

Darrell Adams has not seen his recruitment take off especially since he missed his entire junior season because of transfer rules but he remains hopeful things will pick up soon.
Cal was expected at the school on Monday, a few days after the Hayward (Calif.) Stellar Prep wide receiver stopped by the Berkeley campus for the junior day.

"I thought everything went well," Adams said of his stop at Cal. "I got there a little late because I woke up late and I missed some of it but I saw some of their facilities and I talked with the players that go there and I talked to the coaches and that was pretty much it.
"They said they are heavily recruiting me and the decision to offer me is tough just because I don't have junior film. They said they were coming by my school (this past Monday) and I think anything can happen.
"I'm hoping for the best which is an offer from them but if not I figure it will come later on."
The 6-foot-2, 219-pound three-star prospect has already landed an offer from Arizona State and he's hearing a lot from Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Georgia, Utah, Washington and Washington State among others.
Missing this past season certainly did not help Adams, who looked good at the recent RCS Northern California. But it also served as motivation for the Hayward Stellar Prep to work even harder this off-season to get noticed from college coaches across the country.
"As far as it hurting me it has affected me in the way that it's stopped me from getting highlights to give to these coaches," Adams said.
"It hasn't stopped me from wanting to work harder. I feel like it's something that's actually pushing me for this spring to even show these coaches I want to play even more. It's all just motivation."
