Many possibilities for top OL Darity

The months of June and July are generally a busy time for most of the nation’s top prospects, but one elite player from the Sunshine State is taking a different approach.
“I’m not going to a bunch of camps and stuff like that,” said Tallahassee Lincoln offensive lineman Calvin Darity, a member of the Rivals100 team. “In July, I’m going to the ‘Down & Dirty’ camp, but I’m just mainly concentrating on working out with my teammates.”

However, Darity (6-4, 275, 4.9) said he may try to take some unofficial visits to evaluate campuses later this summer.
“We’ll probably start down here in Florida and work our way up,” he said. “I may try to get to Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia, see all those schools. If we have time and the funds, we may go see some more.”
Darity is keeping his list of prospective schools close to the vest at this time. He claims to have no favorite and top five. Among the schools who have made offers are Florida, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Tennessee, Louisville, North Carolina, Maryland, Syracuse, Alabama and Auburn.
It had previously been reported that Ohio State and Michigan had offered, but Darity said he didn’t think that was the case, even though the Buckeyes and Wolverines have been showing interest.
“I’m looking at everyone who’s offered me,” he said. “I haven’t eliminated anyone yet. Mainly, I’ve been doing a lot of research on the internet, trying to learn about their academic programs. That’s the first thing for me. I haven’t thought about the football side of things too much.”
Darity maintains a 3.9 GPA and has scored an 1100 on the SAT. He wants to enter a “math related field” in college.
