Manuel re-works things

Jennings, La., defensive end Alonzo Manuel was slated to visit Kentucky two weekends ago, but he decided to re-work the visit.
"I chickened out at the last minute," Manuel said. "I was too scared to fly. With all of that stuff going on, it really scared me."

Manuel has promised Kentucky that'll have enough nerve to make the visit a little later in the recruiting process. Just like he's promised Texas A&M a Dec. 7 visit and Auburn an Jan. 11 visit.
"I'm also going to visit LSU, Kentucky and Southern Miss," Manuel, who is 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds.
So does Manuel have a leader?
"I start to think about that stuff then I get all confused," Manuel said. "They're all about even right now. That's the best way to put it. I thought I liked Auburn and then I thought I liked LSU. But then all of a sudden I think about A&M and the other schools.
"It's just too confusing."
What hasn't been is his play on the field. Manuel has seven sacks on the season.
