Manning adds offers, names favorite

Rivals100 linebacker Terrell Manning out of Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County continues to mount offers. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder added two more impressive scholarships recently.
"I've gotten offers from Georgia and Miami," he said. "I got the Georgia one about a week after Virginia Tech's and then Miami was around then too. Both of them are big offers and I'm interested, but I'm still looking at Virginia Tech a lot.

"They are really well known for their defense. What I really like about them is when I went to the Wake Forest/Virginia Tech game last year. Their fans are crazy and you would have thought it was a home game at Wake with the atmosphere they brought. Also their linebackers are top notch. I saw one of them hit the Wake running back and knock him out, that really got my attention."
Manning plans to make a trip to Blacksburg on April 21st for the Tech spring game.
"Virginia Tech isn't a drive down the road, so I want to get everything covered while I'm down there and see as much as possible."
While the Hokies lead, a few schools are nipping at the heels.
"North Carolina State, Clemson and South Carolina are right up there for me too," he said. "I like State of course because of the early playing time and everything else that comes with it. I love everything about Clemson, academic wise and more, while South Carolina I haven't visited in a long time. There's a rumor going around that they have moved to the side. I'm still feeling them a lot though."
Though he plans to graduate early, Manning isn't allowing that to rush his decision.
"It's not really effecting my decision," he said. "Mine will be a little earlier than anybody else and I'm trying to make it as soon as possible. I still plan to make a few long distance trips over the summer to Florida, Alabama and Miami to see what they are all about. Hopefully I'll know by the time I go into my season."
