Mangus takes visits, adds offers

It's been a busy few weeks for Raleigh (N.C.) Broughton running back Chris Mangus. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder took a couple visits and added two new scholarships.
"I went to Clemson's spring game last week and then this past Thursday I got an offer from Minnesota and an offer from NC State," he said. "I also went to practice at State on Thursday, Friday and the spring game Saturday."

Mangus started with the trip to Clemson.
"I went on April 9th and I had a great time down there," he said. "I got to speak to a few of the coaches, they showed me around a bit, the facilities and met my family. I pretty much liked everything I saw, I didn't see the whole campus.
"They said they like me a lot and were talking to me a lot. They haven't offered and I don't know when they are going to offer."
Meanwhile, Mangus spent three days at NC State and got an offer.
"I had a good time there, I went to see the practice and I was very excited when I got the offer," he said. "Tom O'Brien offered me and it's pretty exciting for the head coach to offer it to me face-to-face.
"I like NC State of the in-states it's one of my favorite in-state schools. As for the spring game, the offense is a quick offense and I liked it. They do a lot of passing, more than running."
Finally, what about the Minnesota offer?
"I was excited when I got it," he said. "To get an offer coming from a big school like Minnesota is good. I've been talking to Marcus Jones, we're pretty cool, to get more information about his experience up there. He's told me good things.
Though he's visited a couple of schools, Mangus isn't sure where he's headed from here.
"I don't have any other visits planned out right now," he said. "I'm sure a few more visits will come during spring or summer. I know I want to get to Notre Dame."
In addition, Mangus noted no favorites at this point in time.
