Mama pleased after Pac-12 trip

Damien Mama was one of many unofficial visitors at the Utah-UCLA game this past weekend and it was an eventful day for the 2014 offensive lineman from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco.
The 6-foot-5, 360-pound offensive guard met with a bunch of the UCLA coaches, talked with some players and even spent post-game in the locker room to get a better feel for the Bruins.

The junior lineman had a great time.
"We started with a little brunch and that was pretty cool," Mama said. "I got to meet some coaches and then we got to go on the field and meet some players and I really liked that.
"We got to watch the game and it was a really good game and really close at the end. After that we went in the locker room and met more players. We got to talk to the coaches again and it was a really good experience."
UCLA has not offered yet but Mama said the coaching staff just recently got a hold of his junior season highlight tape and he's hoping the Bruins stay in touch.
The word back from the coaches has been positive so Mama wants to stay in close contact through the remainder of this season and beyond to see how serious UCLA gets in his recruitment.
"They said to keep doing what I'm doing and that I'm looking good," Mama said. "I think they just received my film because I just finished it up adding Friday's game on it. They said they like what they see and they want me to keep working.
"It's a school with good history and I really like it. We'll see what happens."
Other than interest from the Bruins, Mama said he's pretty much hearing from every other Pac-12 school especially Washington State along with Oklahoma and others.
Colorado has already offered the 2014 standout.
