Mama keeps loading up

Damien Mama's recruitment continues to stay busy early this off-season as the Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive lineman keeps loading up on offers.
The 6-foot-5, 360-pound four-star prospect who said some teams like him at offensive guard and others at offensive tackle just landed an offer from Florida State, another big one to add to his list.

"I've been receiving mail but I hadn't talked to any of the coaches," Mama said.
"The coaches saw my film and coach (Rick) Trickett really liked it and they decided to offer. It's huge. I know coach Trickett's history, having all those top offensive linemen is really cool. It's Florida State football, that's big."
Mama, rated as the No. 227 prospect in the 2014 class by Rivals.com, was surprisingly offered by Washington State recently as well. The St. John Bosco standout was excited about it but it definitely came as a shock to him.
"That just came out of the blue," Mama said.
"I didn't even know about it. I didn't even speak to the Washington State coach. I know about them and Washington and their rivalry game and stuff but that's about it."
Of the schools that have not offered yet, Mama said UCLA and USC are showing the most interest. Because things are happening so fast in his recruitment, the four-star said it's still too early to name any frontrunners.
"It's been a little busy," Mama said.
"People are just calling and they're offering. I've been talking a whole lot with Ole Miss, Washington and BYU and I'm building relationships with all of them. There are a lot of schools so it's still a little too early for favorites right now."
In total, Mama lists offers from Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Cal, Colorado, Florida State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
