Malone maintaining his busy schedule

Wide receiver Brady Malone of Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga has remained very busy over the last month, and will continue to keep that schedule during the spring and summer.
One of the highlights of his busy visit schedule so far was his trip to Happy Valley.

"I liked Penn State a lot," said the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Malone. "I spent some time with Coach Larry Johnson and Receivers Coach Stan Hixon, and I really like the facilities. Coach O'Brien is really, really energetic and I think he's what the program needs. They've always been pretty good on defense and the offense has struggled in the past, so I think he's the type of coach they need."
Malone started visiting school last spring and has seen his fair share.
"I've been to UConn, Maryland Virginia Tech, Duke, Penn State, UMass and Boston College," he said. "I visited many of those campuses last year, so those schools have been asking me to come to one of their one-day camps over the summer so they can see me in person."
Malone shared some of his favorite schools.
"I really like Penn State, UConn, Duke, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Syracuse," said Malone. "I grew up following Virginia Tech because that's where my parents went to school. It definitely helps them, but it isn't the deciding factor."
Aside from his recruiting trips, Malone has also made sure to prepare himself for his upcoming senior season.
"I'm running and working out five days a week right now," he said. "Also, I'm planning on going to as many of those one-day camps as I can."
Last season, Malone, who carries a 3.8 GPA, recorded 470 yards receiving and six touchdowns while helping his team reach the WCAC finals where they lost to Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel.
