Rankings week for the Class of 2020 rolls on Wednesday at Rivals.com, with the release of the new and updated Rivals250. Because it’s so early in the process, plenty of players made big jumps up the charts, but the moves came with their share of debates as well. Today, we have three Rivals.com analysts state their case for a particular three-star prospect who made big jumps over the summer.

DARIN TURNER

I’ve always been a fan of Turner, but I went conservative with his first ranking, making him a mid three-star despite his early commitment to LSU and his track record of producing on the field. After spending the summer watching some of the other top 2020 prospects, I realized that I may have been a little hard on him the first time around and that he deserved to be in the Rivals250, and I made a strong case for him during the meetings. Turner rarely comes off the field for his high school team and has some of the nation’s best programs recruiting him to play safety as well. With his two-way ability and his knack for making big plays, Turner is for sure among the country’s 250 best, and he will prove me right this fall. - Woody Wommack, Southeast analyst

KEYSHAWN GREEN

Green was a bit lean early in his high school career but continues to beef up and stay on an impressive trajectory. He has long arms for size, but his quickness and closing speed are what set him apart. Green has been able to maintain his quickness while adding muscle and now brings an impressive size-speed combination to the table. A Florida state commit from the Tallahassee area, Green is unlikely to have a change of heart between now and signing day 2020. - Rob Cassidy, Southeast/Florida analyst

CJ DIXON

CJ Dixon will have his chance this fall to make a case to be one of the top quarterbacks in his class. He has been a basketball star, and now it is time to showcase his ability on the football field. He got first-team reps in the spring and when coaches started seeing him live in May and June, the offers started coming in. Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Ohio State, among others, have offered the dual-threat quarterback out of Loganville (Ga.) Grayson.

He is still a raw quarterback, but he has so much to offer. He is a big quarterback with a live arm that can run. Dixon has the look of the new-age quarterback that schools covet to run the spread offense. Everyone is talking about Harrison Bailey and Max Johnson as the top quarterbacks in Georgia, and that is fair since both have a lot of games under their belt. But this will be the season for Dixon to add his name to that conversation. He has had the spring and summer to already create some chatter. - Chad Simmons, Southeast Analyst
