Barrington, Ill. offensive tackle prospect Dan Doering (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) is now touting 19 scholarship offers, and Doering has added offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech so far this week.
“I've received scholarship offers this week from Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech this week," Dan Doering said. “It's very flattering to be able to draw so many early offers. I have several options at this point, and I'm just very grateful."
So what are Doering's thoughts on his latest offers? "Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech are great schools as well as great football programs, and I'm just thrilled to have received scholarship from those schools."
So how will Doering be able to limit his favorite schools list with so many early offers? "(Laughing) I don't know. My family and I have tried to get out to as many schools as we can, but it's getting to the point where we won't be able to see every school that has made me a scholarship offer, and trust me I'm very thankful for every offer that I have. I'll need to eventually narrow things down."
Doering will be on the road again on Thursday, visiting Northwestern. Doering will then visit the University of Iowa on Saturday, then Doering will take in the Notre Dame spring game on April 24th. Will Doering be making any additional spring visits? "I think that once I go to the Notre Dame spring game, that might be it for spring visits."
Dan Doering currently has scholarship offers from LSU, Indiana, Purdue, Tennessee, Boston College, Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Southern Cal, UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State, Arizona, Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech.
