Major schools interested in GA linebacker

Although he hasn't received any offers, Decatur (Ga.) Towers linebacker Da-Norris Searcy has received some serious interest. The 6-foot-0, 207-pounder has gotten mail from the ACC, SEC and Big Ten.
"I'm getting interest from Auburn, Tennessee, Ohio State, Boston College, LSU, Georgia Tech and Duke," he said. "I'm looking for a place with tradition, early playing time, academics and a place that would feel like home. I don't really care how far away I go because that really doesn't matter to me."

Growing up Searcy was a fan of a couple teams.
"I really like Tennessee and Florida State as far as teams," he said. "I like Tennessee a lot because of their coaches and then Florida State has a great tradition there. I'd say I favor both of those teams a little bit more than the rest right now."
In just eight games last year, Searcy ran for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. He also registered 51 tackles, four sacks and two fumble recoveries.
"I think my best attribute on the field is my explosion," he said. "I also have a knack for reading the play and finding the ball really quickly."
Searcy was named first team all-county and honorable mention all-state as a junior.
This summer the linebacker prospect plans to head to Knoxville to attend the Volunteers camp.
