Major offers come for Urban

In the past couple weeks, North Hunington (Pa.) Norwin defensive end Tyler Urban has seen his stock soar. The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder has added three major Division I offers and believes more could be coming soon.
"I got offered in the past week by Maryland, West Virginia and Indiana," he said. "I'm supposed to call Cincinnati in the next day and their coaches said they'll probably have an offer for me too.

"Of the recent offers, I've been talking to West Virginia for a long time and they have shown the most interest, but Maryland and Indiana are up there too. I guess you could say I'm looking at the bigger schools, but I don't want to leave the MAC programs behind either."
Recently Urban attended a handful of college summer camps.
"I went down to West Virginia, Indiana and Pittsburgh," he said. "Of course West Virginia and Indiana offered me, but I talked to the coaches at Pittsburgh and they said they really like me. They just want the rest of the staff to check me out before they offer."
The Keystone State lineman claims there are no other camps coming up in the near future although he is considering an unofficial visit to Michigan State soon.
Does Urban have any leaders right now?
"Like I said earlier, I am paying more attention to the bigger schools, but there aren't really any favorites," he stated. "Now that I've gotten bigger offers, I'm looking at playing time, will I play, what position I'll play and how deep they are. Everyone is looking at me as a defensive end except for West Virginia who wants me at tight end. The position doesn't matter; I just want to find out the playing time arrangement.
"I'm also looking at the schools closer to home for my parents. Last, I want a good academic school that isn't just football oriented."
