Major offer comes for Thurston

Notre Dame is the newest offer for Arvada (Colo.) Arvada West offensive tackle Paul Thurston and now the 6-foot-5, 265-pound prospect has to figure out whether he could squeeze a visit to South Bend into his plans in the next couple months.
"They're a big school and I'm pretty excited about getting an offer from a school like Notre Dame," Thurston said.

"I've been talking to coach (Tony) Alford. He's been the main guy I've been talking to and that's who I've been communicating with."
Thurston, who's included in the Rivals 250 to watch list for 2012, is thinking about visits to Nebraska, Oregon and Michigan but with Notre Dame now offering he said there is strong consideration to figure out a way to visit there as well.
"I was planning to take some visits to Oregon, Nebraska and Michigan but now with them in the mix I'm going to talk to my parents about possibly getting up there but I don't know right now," Thurston said.
Thurston will visit Nebraska for its spring game in April. He has not finalized dates for visits to Michigan and Oregon yet but thinks he can get them done sometime that month as well.
Since Notre Dame just offered he's unsure of when he can go there but expressed interest in visiting South Bend.
Arizona State, Colorado, Stanford and Utah have also offered Thurston, who said not many others teams are communicating with him at this point in his recruitment.
