Major offer comes for Rivals250 WR

Rivals250 wide receiver Adrian Coxson picked up his first SEC scholarship earlier today. The big-time offer caught the 6-foot-2, 186-pounder by surprise.
"I got an offer from Florida today," he said. "That's a really big offer. I never thought they recruit up this way. I was hoping to get one from them and then I got it. I want to take my family down there to see if I like the town. I'll be going on a visit; I haven't talked it over with my family. We've got to schedule it and fly down."

Clearly Coxson is impressed, what stands out about Florida to the four-star prospect?
"They are the No. 1 team in the country, that speaks for itself," he said. "I called the coaches today. I talked to Coach Meyer and Coach White. They seem like really cool guys. I look forward to meeting and learning more about them."
Previously it was believed Penn State may be in the forefront, does the Florida offer change anything?
"This makes my decision a whole lot more complicated," he said. "This decision determines my life, my future and is really big. I'm not going to rush it. I still plan to announce before the football season or this summer. I've got a lot to think about and my coach is a big part of this too."
The Baltimore (Md.) City College prospect maintains Penn State is very much in the picture as well.
"They are up there, but I am not going to say I have any favorites," he said. "I really like Penn State though. I like how they are classy people and it's like a family up there."
Coxson is hoping another team may offer in the near future.
"I really hope Alabama offers because I just like how they run the spread," he said. "They go at least five wide, no huddle. I haven't heard anything from them yet, but I'm hoping to get my film out there soon."
