Major offer close for Dixon

Bryce Dixon talked with Ohio State assistant coach Tim Hinton on Monday night and the 2014 tight end from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure received some great news.
The Buckeyes have not offered yet but it could be really close and Dixon is thrilled about it.

"I just got off the phone with Ohio State and he told me he's recommending an offer but first he had to get all the coaches on board," Dixon said. "He said it's 99 percent sure I'm going to get an offer from Ohio State."
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect who's playing well this season admitted he doesn't know too much about Ohio State yet but after receiving that news he's about to do some research.
"That's very cool," Dixon said. "That's a great school and a great program. I don't know a lot about them at all yet. I'm going to do some research on them."
It has been a big few weeks for Dixon, who looked good this summer at the B2G Elite Camp.
He first received an offer from Miami and now Ohio State looks like it's jumping on board. Interest is coming in from Arizona and Washington as well so Dixon is hopeful his recruitment will continue to pick up as long as he's playing well on the field.
"It really helps my confidence," Dixon said.
"I knew I had game but to get those offers it really builds my confidence up and it makes me feel like I can do better than I've already done."
Dixon and 2015 quarterback Ricky Town from Ventura St. Bonaventure have planned an unofficial visit to Miami for the weekend of Oct. 12 when the Hurricanes host North Carolina.
