Kyle Kearns has been working out for some top programs. Many more will see him in the coming months and soon his recruitment could get much busier.
The 2015 four-star quarterback from Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill was one of the top prospects at the Steve Clarkson Field Generals Quarterback Camp last weekend and he said things have been going well in recruiting.
After signing day, things could pick up even more as Kearns still waits for his first offer.
"Oregon came by on Friday and Stanford came by on Thursday," Kearns said. "I threw for both of them, and Oregon was also there for Isaiah Langley so we worked out for them on Friday.
"They're just kind of wrapping up 2014, getting all these guys signed, and then they're going to focus on 2015 after signing day. They're going to start coming by a little bit more frequently."
Rated as the eighth-best pro-style quarterback in the 2015 class, Kearns has been communicating with a lot of top programs and many will be visiting him in the coming weeks.
"I've been talking with Michigan, they're going to come out," Kearns said. "Arizona State is supposed to come out by the end of January. Tennessee is going to come out in early February. Ole Miss is coming out at the end of January."
So many programs have been interested in Kearns for months and he's hopeful things will clear up soon - either schools will offer or move on to another 2015 quarterback.
"I'm getting closer and closer and building a lot of relationships," Kearns said. "We're kind of reaching that point where they're going to start making a decision on whether they're going to go on me."
