Major interest comes for Ragin

Everything is going well for Johnny Ragin III and the Wilsonville, Ore., outside linebacker is starting to hear from major programs across the country.
Cal, UCLA, Washington, Washington State and Oregon are the most consistent Pac-12 schools involved and Ragin said he's also making some in-roads with Notre Dame.

So far, BYU and Oregon State have offered but once coaches watch Ragin's highlight film from last Friday night more offers might be on the way.
"I was recently in contact with Notre Dame and a lot of the Pac-12 schools still," Ragin said.
"This past Friday we won 51-14 and I had nine tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, a recovered fumble and a bunch of hurries so I played pretty well. A lot of the coaches are taking a look at that film right now."
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound three-star prospect who looked good this summer at The Opening said he has not talked much with the Notre Dame coaching staff yet but heard the Irish have started to show interest.
That's especially exciting for Ragin since he's been slow to gain lots of traction so far through the recruiting process.
"I've been talking to some connections I have and they've been talking to the (Notre Dame) coaches a little bit and we're seeing if we could get something going on over there," Ragin said.
"I haven't talked too much with them yet but once the coaches watch my film hopefully something could happen."
Because so many programs are showing interest, Ragin does not want to schedule official visits with only five to take. So the Wilsonville standout plans to remain patient, see what becomes available in the coming months and then make decisions on trips.
He recently took an unofficial visit to Oregon State.
"I don't have any other visits planned just yet," Ragin said. "I just want to get these last offers in and then I'll start planning these officials."
