Major interest comes for Irwin

Trent Irwin is having a big junior season and his recruitment is picking up in a big way.
The 2015 wide receiver from Newhall (Calif.) Hart said plenty of new programs have started to show interest and he still has the early offers from Cal and Colorado.

By the looks of it, Irwin could land more offers at any time especially if he continues to put up big numbers as his junior year continues.
"It's going really well," Irwin said. "Happy to be 3-0. We've thrown it around pretty well and last week we got up pretty quick so we had to make the most out of our opportunities.
"I'm getting a lot of letters from Notre Dame. I get a lot of letters from Mississippi State, too. They sent me 101 reasons to go there. Auburn, Cal is still sending it, Colorado, Alabama, Boise State and that's about it off the top of my head right now."
Since it's still so early, the 2015 wide receiver who absolutely dominated on the 7on7 circuit with B2G said he doesn't want to rush a decision. So many programs are involved and sending mail so Irwin is excited to see where things go next.
"I still have my options open," Irwin said. "I have a top 20 or something but that's not narrowing it down too much."
Irwin, who visited Oregon, Stanford and Oregon State this summer, said no unofficial trips are planned but he could make some local stops. A visit to Cal could happen but Irwin isn't sure about it yet. He could also go over to UCLA.
"We were hoping to get down to Cal," Irwin said.
"We haven't seen any games. We'll probably see some UCLA games because they're local and easy to get to. Hopefully we'll get down to Cal or some other schools but financially I can't really fly anywhere."
