Major competition for USC commit

Nico Falah remains committed to USC but in recent weeks Washington has made significant strides in his recruitment and this is one that could come down to the wire.
The four-star offensive tackle from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco said his official visit to Washington was outstanding and that he has some serious thinking to do in the coming weeks.

"I'd say the visit that stood out the most to me was Washington so it's Washington and USC so far," Falah said. "I like Washington a lot obviously. I'm not going to lie. I like that school a lot. I fit in there really well.
"I'm still committed to SC and I'm still leaning toward that school but I'm going to finalize it after my visit there and see what feels right for me."
Falah, a 6-foot-4, 267-pound prospect who's preparing for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl next week, said the people and his possible opportunity to play early stick out most about the Huskies.
Those are two aspects that will go into his decision-making process.
"I'd say the biggest thing was the locker room," Falah said. "I know a lot of players there and the coaches are great.
"The biggest thing to me was whether I'm a want or I'm a need. At Washington I'm a need and that stood out to me the most. They could use me right away if I work hard in the weight room. I could play for them right away and that's what stands out to me the most."
Falah, who has also been to Oregon and Oklahoma but both seem like long shots at this point, will take his official visit to USC the weekend of Jan. 18.
USC still has his commitment and he has loved the Trojans for a long time but Washington has definitely given him something new to consider.
"I'd say there is a lot more interest in Washington," Falah said.
"I don't want to say I'm de-committing from SC because I'm definitely not. I still love SC. That's my school and my heart but Washington is a good option for me. I'm going to look more into it and see what's best for me."
